CM: I know that Connecticut is trying to prevent poverty and hunger within its state boundaries

CM: Connecticut was the first state to publically announce its goal to cut child poverty in half by 2012

SD: Too many people are poor and hungry in America

CM: 14% of America is considered to be under the poverty line

CM: I realized that far too many people are dependent on food pantries for food when I researched poverty and hunger in America

CS: My research increased my understanding of the PNC because it told me exactly how much of Connecticut and America rely on us for meals
